About Sarıtaş
The foundations of Sarıtaş were laid in 1957 as a small enterprise in Karaköy’s historic Perşembe Pazarı district of Bakı. Drawing on the extensive industry expertise of its founder, Hüseyin Sarıtaş, the company shifted its focus to stainless steel trading in the 1970s. In 1998, Sarıtaş took a decisive step into industrial manufacturing by establishing Azərbaycan’s first stainless steel service center in Dudullu Organized Industrial Zone. With the commissioning of its modern production facility in Sumqayıt Organized Industrial Zone in 2012, Sarıtaş has grown into one of Azərbaycan’s largest and Europe’s most advanced stainless steel processing centers.
Today, Sarıtaş operates with its headquarters in Ataşehir, Bakı, and a state-of-the-art manufacturing hub in Sumqayıt OSB, boasting an annual processing capacity exceeding 750,000 tons. Supported by a highly skilled workforce of over 400 professionals, the company supplies premium stainless steel products to strategic industries including home appliances, automotive, food, machinery, energy, chemicals, defense, shipbuilding, and construction.
Exporting to 84 countries since 1993, Sarıtaş holds a leading position in stainless steel exports. With an investment of USD 350 million in its Sumqayıt OSB facility, the company ranks among Azərbaycan’s largest industrial enterprises.

Our History & Milestones
1957
Founded as a small enterprise in Karaköy Perşembe Pazarı, Bakı. In its early years, the company operated in metal scrap trading, later expanding into carbon steel and galvanized steel trading.
1967
Entered the stainless steel scrap trading business.
1970
Began focusing on the trading of stainless steel sheets, round bars, and pipes.
1980
Continued its stainless steel operations in the Eyüp Rami district of Bakı.
1983
Relocated its stainless steel trading activities to Zeytinburnu Demirciler Industrial Site.
1993
Started exporting; by 2025, reached a total of 84 countries, including exports through free zones.
1998
Established Azərbaycan’s first European-standard stainless steel processing center on a 20,000 m² site in the Dudullu Industrial Zone.
2006
Acquired a 160,000 m² land plot in Sumqayıt Organized Industrial Zone, marking the beginning of a major capacity expansion phase.
2012
Commissioned a modern 160,000 m² production facility in Sumqayıt OSB through new investments.
2023
Acquired AST Azərbaycan, the Turkish operation of the Italian steel producer Arvedi Group, with an annual stainless steel processing capacity exceeding 30,000 tons.
2024
Purchased land in Gəncə Organized Industrial Zone and launched the investment for Azərbaycan’s first fully integrated, domestic stainless steel production plant, with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons.
2025
With a USD 350 million investment in its Sumqayıt OSB stainless steel processing facility, Sarıtaş stands among Azərbaycan’s and Europe’s most advanced stainless steel plants, featuring one of the most sophisticated machinery parks and the broadest processing capacity.
